"I have been attending Jackie regularly for ten years and have been delighted with the highly professional treatment I have always received. Jackie shows a real interest in her clients' welfare and is always prepared to go the extra mile to solve any problem."

"As a customer with four+ years experience of Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody, I have no hesitation in recommending the organisation and particularly Jackie Johnston. I have benefited from both the care and attention which I have been given."
Margery Coltart

"It was a good day when I made my first appointment with Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody several years ago. I was amazed to discover the range of treatments that were available, all carried out very efficiently. I am delighted with the standard of care and professionalism I receive. Most importantly, without foot pain I can enjoy even more time on the golf course! It is wonderful to have such facilities locally. Highly recommended!"

"It is a pleasure to offer a reference for Mrs Jackie Johnston, of the Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody Clinic."

"Her professional skills are outstanding. I have been her patient for five years, and have presented considerable problems; she has tackled these with great skill, patience and effort, showing valuable initiative in drawing in other specialist skills from elsewhere as necessary. She co-operates admirably with Nurses, Orthotists and specialists in Orthopaedics."

Her clinic is very well run; standards of order and hygiene are very high, and she ensures the availability of backup skills whenever necessary."

"As a person she is very agreeable, clear, direct and with a sense of humour. In all respects I can recommend her without reservation."
Sir Lewis Robertson

"I have been attending the practice for 7 years, 3 of which I have travelled from Glasgow to receive first class chiropody treatment from highly trained, dedicated people. A very friendly team."

"Before I started coming to Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody, I used to dread going to the Chiropodist. It was actually painful having my nails trimmed, as the nails were quite thick. Only clippers were used and the entire procedure was rushed. I felt as though I was on a conveyor belt. Now I actually look forward to my Chiropody appointments. A more gentle technique to cut nails is used. It is an electrical tool that spays cool water on the nails at the same time. It all feels soothing and completely without pain. My feet are attended to in a thoroughly professional manner with no problem overlooked. I like the complete personal attention that makes Blackhall Podiatry & Chiropody so special. It is like visiting a friend. I thoroughly recommend coming here. Welcomed by warm and friendly staff, I come away feeling relaxed."
Mrs M Colvin

"About seven years ago I realised that whichever pair of glasses I wore, I could not see clearly enough to cut my own toenails. Having awkward feet and working in a job that involved a lot of standing, I decided the time had come to seek professional advice."

"I was personally recommended to Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody who have provided exemplary care for my feet ever since. I receive routine podiatry on a regular basis but have also required some of their more specialised services. A troublesome in-growing toenail was excised under local anaesthetic; an uncomplicated pain-free procedure after which I was soon walking normally."

"With ageing, my congenitally "awkward" feet have recently caused problems. I now require orthotic insoles to help correct the increasing deformity. Again the professional care has been excellent, with great attention to detail and to getting things right for my everyday comfort."

"I have no hesitation in recommending the Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody practice for its high clinical standards and friendly professionalism."
J Freshwater (Dr)

"The clinic extends a warm and friendly welcome to patients, even to the extent of offering a cup of coffee on arrival! Treatment is invariably of a high professional standard including advice on other related medical matters. This, in my case, involved a small crusty spot on the upper part of a foot, which Mrs. Johnston advised should be seen by a dermatologist. Until then, this had been thought to be nothing to merit treatment, but in fact did prove to be a cancerous spot, which was removed by a skin specialist. This careful, interested attention is most certainly appreciated by patients."
Mrs. M Smith

"I have been a patient at Blackhall Podiatry for over ten years for regular care of my feet which on one occasion also included nail surgery. The treatment I received over this period has been of the highest professional standards and my wife was also very impressed when they found a relatively simple solution to a problem which others had been unable to resolve. I always leave their surgery with a spring in my step and would have no hesitation in recommending their services and skills to others."

"My feet have been cared for by the Blackhall Podiatry Clinic since 2002. The following year I developed plantar fasciitis, a painful condition which affects the soft tissue of the sole. Anti-inflammatory drugs were prescribed but did nothing to alleviate the pain. At Blackhall, two courses of laser treatment were given to my right sole. A month later I was backpacking across Scotland absolutely pain free. Needless to say, my feet are still being cared for by the Blackhall Podiatry Clinic."

"I first came to Blackhall Chiropody & Podiatry Clinic in November 2006 on the recommendation of a friend to whom I was talking about a problem with my toe joint. My friend said if anyone could help it would be Jackie."

"At that time I was thinking the only way to relieve the pain in the toe joint was to have an operation. Jackie was able to recommend a surgeon but suggested that before I went down that route there were other treatments we could try. I was impressed by the way she understood and explained to me what was going on with my feet. We started acupuncture - I was doubtful initially but I knew it could do no harm so we tried it and it did indeed help the pain."

"Jackie suggested that the pain would naturally cease as the toe joint fused, and that seems to be what is happening now."

"So thanks to her knowledge and experience, I am (almost) pain-free and in addition the cream she recommended has cleared the dry, cracked skin on my heels (which I had had for years) and any hard skin or corns that begin to develop are painlessly removed at my regular visits."

"But it's not just Jackie's skills that I appreciate - it's the warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere in the clinic - all the staff are welcoming and happy to chat - and there's always coffee brewing and sometimes some home baking!"
