Mrs Jackie Johnston BSc. (Hons)
Graduated from Queen Margaret University in 1995 being awarded a BSc in Podiatry with 1st class honours. Declining the opportunity to study for a PhD, she chose to specialise in private practice and opened Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody.
Coming from a background of research in immunology (Western General Hospital and Dick Veterinary School), her experience and qualifications in immunology, medical microbiology and infection control are usefully applied in her daily practice.
Areas of special interest include Dermatology, Acupuncture and Laser Therapy.

Mrs Carol Black BSc. (Hons)
Graduated from Queen Margaret University in 1999 being awarded a BSc with Honours in Podiatry. Prior to retraining, Mrs Black worked in a research laboratory where she developed expertise in infection control procedures.
Area of special interest Biomechanics and Gait analysis

Continual Professional Development
All members of the Blackhall Podiatry and Chiropody team strive to update and improve their knowledge. Our Podiatrists are highly skilled practitioners both in general practice and in their area of special interest and are constantly updating their education. We regularly attend postgraduate courses and conferences to ensure the latest techniques are employed. In addition, continual refresher courses in aspects such as cross-infection control and first-aid are attended by all team members.
